Medicare in St. Paul
Ramsey County shares the metro’s wide plan choice, and its care is anchored by HealthPartners’ Regions Hospital, Allina’s United Hospital, M Health Fairview and a thick layer of HealthPartners and Allina clinics. Which of those a Medicare Advantage plan includes is the first thing to check, because it varies by carrier and by year.
Cost plans ended in Ramsey County in 2019. St. Paul residents choose between Medicare Advantage and Original Medicare with a Minnesota Basic or Extended Basic supplement, and after the 2026 carrier exits many are choosing again.
